The existence of fakes affects universal rules concerning the production and trade of artworks, thus raising deep problems about authenticity criteria that seem to be timeless and the international research workshop Fake in the art market, scheduled on 21st June 2021, wants to be a way to start a process of creation of an interdisciplinary framework of analysis of the art market fakes.
The online workshop is organized by the Institute for Advanced Studies at the University of Bologna as part of intra-university initiatives on the subject of forgery.
